Just accept that there has been an extremely stressful event.
Don't hide hurt feelings and talk to someone you trust or someone you trust to get help.
Do not try to suppress your emotions and fearful memories. Think of the solution, believing you can do it well.
Start your daily routines a little bit.
Immediately after a traumatic accident, put off big decisions, such as moving or changing jobs.
Reduce or stop drinking, coffee or smoking.
Cherish yourself with plenty of rest, routine exercise and a balanced diet.
Take time to relax.
Avoid constant replay of news via television, radio, and the Internet about a disaster or traumatic event.
